about

I have lived with Long Covid since the start of 2022 until the time of this release and maybe beyond. I wrote this song almost 20 years ago, but it somehow seems apt for these times.

By buying my music, you are donating to Long Covid research, and helping support groups. All money you spend (net of basic costs) goes on to Long Covid causes. I appreciate your contribution. Thank you!

lyrics

While we lay there sleeping
The stars were all snuffed out
One by one
Their life’s work done
While we sat there talking
Words were decomposed
Row by row
Their meanings known

Burn out
In the airlane
Melt down
In this quick little town
There are leaves on the pavement
And torpor in the veins
There are leaves on the pavement
There’s torpor in the veins

While we went around searching
Secrets were exposed
Bone by bone
Mysteries disclosed

Burn out
Of a cold flame
Melt down
In this quick little town
There are leaves on the pavement
And torpor in the veins
There are leaves on the pavement
And torpor in the veins
There are leaves on the pavement
And torpor in the veins
